Our commitment to wellbeing

Wellbeing Charitable Trust is a community-led organisation that supports Asian, migrant, refugee-background, Muslim, and other minority families in Auckland. We provide culturally responsive parenting support, family wellbeing support, suicide prevention, mentoring, employment support, and practical support. By addressing cultural, language and systemic barriers, we strengthen belonging, resilience and connection while helping families access the support they need.

Connecting communities, supporting families

Wellbeing Charitable Trust provides culturally responsive programmes for migrant, refugee-background and ethnic communities. Our activities include parenting education, family wellbeing and family-harm prevention, mental health and suicide-preventionworkshops, support for women and older people, youth mentoring and leadership, employment preparation, digital safety education, emergency-response support, and referrals to appropriate services. We also organise community events and work with trusted partners to strengthen connection, resilience and belonging.

Mental health advocacy

Community connection initiatives

Recognising the vital importance of mental health, we advocate for and support initiatives relating to postnatal depression and suicide prevention, ensuring access to critical care and resources for those in need.

We foster community connection through various initiatives, helping newly arrived mothers and single mothers find their footing and build supportive networks in a new country.

Our journey: From personal experience to community empowerment

Our journey began with Eva’s personal experience as a mother navigating life in a new country. This sparked a realisation that many Chinese mothers faced similar struggles, unaware of available support. Driven by compassion, Eva began advocating for these mothers, and her work has since expanded to support various minority communities across Auckland.

Empowering families, building futures

Wellbeing Charitable Trust believes in empowering individuals and families through advocacy, education, and community support. We are dedicated to building stronger, healthier futures for minority communities in New Zealand.
